INDIA: Most discussed topic in the country is Women’s Reservation Bill presented by BJP Government, their are few important points which is factually considered to be noted
1.Is Women Reservation Bill is possible to be passed in both Houses…?
Ans.Yes it has all required options to get the bill passed in Both the Upper and Lower Houses as the Government has the full support in both houses including opposition parties.
2.Can this Bill be passed and 33% of reservations be applicable before 2024 General Elections…?
Ans. Yes , but the Government will have to use special power for bypassing two major rules A.Population census and B.Delimitation of the constituencies and implementing the bill as the government did recently in Delhi.
3.Is this Bill a Political Move by BJP Government to corner the opposition…?
Ans.Yes , Even though the Bill will get clearance from Both Lok Sabha – Rajya Sabha and May also be approved by the Honourable President of Bharat, But implementation of the bill can be done only after Population Census and Delimitation is done which is Scheduled by 2026 .
If the BJP Government was so concerned to bring this bill and get it passed and implemented, they would have get the Population census done in 2022 which was postponed in 2021 because of COVID and get it implemented immediately after the census is done.
Definitely this Bill is brought as a perk to the women voters for upcoming elections and gain the momentum over the opposition Political Parties by and as said by “Prime Minister Modi in the parliament on the introduction of the bill that BHAGWAAN (GOD) chooses me for many important things to be done and this bill is most important among all” ,hence cornering opposition parties.
Shockingly there was no major speak up time by BJP’s Cabinet Minister Smriti Irani who is Women and Child Welfare Minister on this bill let alone presenting the bill to empower the women of the country.
